Nestled just a short stroll from the bustling seafront of Port d'Andratx, Marisqueria Galicia is a true gem for seafood aficionados seeking an authentic Balearic dining experience. This seafood restaurant embraces the freshest catches of the day, skillfully transforming them into traditional yet inventive dishes that captivate every sense.
At Marisqueria Galicia, the menu is a celebration of the sea’s bounty—highlighted by exquisite specialties like the elegantly prepared Lubina al sal, a salt-crusted sea bass that delivers a delicate, moist texture perfectly complemented by subtle natural seasoning. Equally enticing is their vibrant paella, available in both seafood and vegetarian versions, boasting a richly layered bouquet of flavors that linger delightfully with each bite. Diners can also indulge in generous portions of calamari, fresh shellfish platters, and an array of grilled fish—all served with a warm, familial touch that leaves you feeling welcomed and cherished.
The atmosphere here struck me as effortlessly authentic and inviting—a cozy, unpretentious space that buzzes with the friendly chatter of locals and travelers alike. The attentive service is genuinely warm and quick, reflecting a family-run spirit that’s rare and deeply satisfying. The owner, Toni, personally enhances the experience, guiding guests to discover new tastes and providing spot-on wine pairings that bring subtle nuances out of each dish. The white wines recommended perfectly balance the briny freshness of the seafood and elevate the meal to something truly memorable.
Despite its slightly tucked-away location off the main marina walkway, Marisqueria Galicia holds a magnetic charm, promising an intimate dining escape particularly after a day spent at sea. The fact that it's frequented by locals is an endorsement of its culinary authenticity and value. Notably, while some small table additions like bread, garlic mayo, olives, and water are charged separately, their delicious quality and the generous portions more than justify the modest extra cost.
Perhaps what lingered longest with me was the sense of genuine hospitality and the way this family restaurant wraps you in a comforting embrace of tradition and care. From sheltering guests during Mallorcan storms to accommodating dietary needs with flexibility, Marisqueria Galicia epitomizes heartfelt service paired with unforgettable flavors. For anyone yearning to taste the true spirit of Balearic seafood, this is a must-visit dining destination that will undoubtedly invite you back time and again.

Lubina al sal was fantastic. Nice place a little off the touristic marina area. Especially after having been on the sea all day no need to see the water whilst having dinner.

Not sure why they are not scored with 5*. I'm Spanish and the food is outstanding, not typical food for tourists, service is very friendly and professional, and the food was served very fast, at a very reasonable price keeping in mind that this is sea food.

Amazing fish restaurant. Frequented by locals which is always a good sign. Buzzing and seating outside because it was so busy on a Sunday lunchtime in January. Watch for the fact that bread, garlic mayo, olives and water are all brought automatically to the table but are charged for on the bill. Large portions of salad and calamari for starters and fish/shellfish platter for 2, grilled monkfish for mains Aniseed type liqueur with the bill. Hit the spot!

I could give this place 10 stars!!! Family business that wraps you up with extreme hospitality. It was crazily stormy day in Mallorca and we suddenly explored this place while were hiding from flying palma trees. We were 3 persons. We had a set to share with grilled fish(4 types) and different kinds of seafood. They were open to make it without garlic since i am allergic. + patatas bravas and pimientos de patron. Of course we also ordered a dessert and some schnapps :) and realised they give the same ones for free when they bring the bill. ;) I have to be honest we ordered a little bit too much for 3 of us but we couldn't leave anything on our plates because food was fantastic! Very fresh products. we could also witness the owner coming by to be wth all the guests. Looked so naturally, some basic relaxing routine to do daily. When locals were coming everybody greeted each other so warmly. Amazing. We were so much overwhelmed. Would go there at any earliest opportunity.
